Classes Offered at asana FIT

  • asana 1 - Intro to Power Yoga (A1):
    Great class for beginners. Power Vinyasa Flow, at a slow-pace with core strengthening. Postures are broken down and demonstrated, with emphasis on alignment, breath balance and intention. 60 min.
  • asana 1.5 - Intro to Heated Power Yoga (A1.5):   
    The perfect transition from A1 to A2, where you will be practicing more advanced postures. This Power Vinyasa yoga class is practiced at a slow flowing pace. Beginning to Intermediate levels. 60 min. HEATED
  • asana 2 - Hour of Power (A2):
    A Powerful method of breath to movement. This class will offer more advanced postures, for students ready to take the next step in their journey. This practice detoxifies, heals and invigorates the mind, body and spirit. Intermediate to Advanced. 60 min. HEATED
  • asana All Levels (AA):
    A challenging and flowing form of yoga that heals, detoxifies and electrifies the body and mind at their deepest levels. All levels are invited. 90 min.
  • asana Sculpt (AS):
    Total body workout designed tone and sculpt every major muscle group. A flow through Sun salutations and other yoga postures, incorporating cardio, core work, etc. using free weights, exercise bands, etc. to enable extra length and depth in each pose. This intense but easy to follow program compliments your regular yoga practice while pushing your strength and flexibility to new heights. All levels. 60 min. HEATED
  • Ashtanga (ASH):
    An hour introduction to the ancient hatha sequence of asanas and vinyasa. It is vigorous and athletic, as well as provides a great workout for your body and mind. A challenging and fluid method of Yoga which involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures,producing internal heat intended to purify and detox muscles and organs. In this hour long class you will practice the primary standing series of ashtanga with emphasis on alignment. All levels. 60 min.
  • FIT Method (FM): Discover your accessory muscles, the missing link to the ultimate mind-body connection. By strengthening the muscles that are often neglected in most fitness regimes, you will transform your body into a long, lean physique. Learn how to turn your "problem areas" into your best assets. We could've called this class the "Fun Method" because you'll have such a good time, you'll forget that your working out. Please wear soft soled shoes (example: athletic/dance). 60 Minutes
  • Forrest Yoga (FY):
    Deep breathing, vigorous pose sequencing and longer posture holds increases strength, flexibility and builds strong abdominal muscles. Forrest Yoga focuses on healing and growth of the physical and emotional bodies and is based on the teachings of Ana Forrest. All levels. 90 min.
  • Restorative Power Yoga (RP):
    Weak stomach and back muscles can lead to chronic back pain. In yoga a strong flexible back is very important for maintaining posture and insuring that the nervous system pathways are strong and clear for improving circulation to the brain. All levels. 60 min.
  • Hot Yoga (HY):
    The traditional series of 26 static postures. This class will allow the student to hear full instruction for each posture and then get to try it a second time to truly connect with your physical body and clear your mind. All levels. 90 min. HEATED
  • Hot Yoga Silent Flow (HYSF):
    The instructionof the 26 asanas (poses) is kept at a minimum. This class is not recommended for the first time student. Intermediate level. 90 min. HEATED.
  • Hot Power Fusion (HPF):
    A blend of the 26 healing postures of Hot Yoga, adding movements form the core with the strengthening flow of Vinyasa. All levels. 60 min. HEATED
  • Iyengar Yoga (IY):
    This method teaches classic yoga postures through an awareness of correct alignment and precise actions in the body. Highly therapeutic, this technique helps to refine your poses while it trains the mind to remain focused and alert. All levels. 90 min.
  • Pilates Mat (P):
    Pilates dramatically transforms the way your body looks, feels and performs. Build strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen. It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. Pilates improves flexibility and agility. Elongates and strengthens, improving muscle elasticity and joint mobility. A body with balanced strength and flexibility is less likely to be injured. Develop a strong core - and a strong back. It can even help alleviate back pain. Invaluable for injury recovery, sports performance, good posture and optimal health. All levels. 60 min.
  • Zumba® (Z):
    Zumba® fuses hypnotic rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program while experiencing an absolute blast with caloric-burning and body-energizing movements Choreographed routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Burn 500-800 calories in one fun filled hour! Please wear soft soled shoes (example: athletic/dance). All levels. 60 min.
  • Zumba® Toning (ZT):
    This class takes the original Zumba® to the next level with the addition of light weight toning sticks. This combination of cardio and dynamic resistive exercise, improves overall performance, strength and agility. All levels 60 min.
